With the cold weather of Winter here there is not much for me to do outside because I’m not much of a cold-weather person. So with that in mind, I find something to do inside that keeps me interested. One of them I found out about is doing Diamond Dots.
It’s very close to doing a numbered painting, except that instead of using a paint you use very small Diamond Dots that are placed on a number or letter that corresponds with the dot color. These Dots are very small. Less than 1/16th wide and about 1/32nd high. You are given everything that you need to place the dots where they should be. The Kit contains a stylus, wax, dots of all colors, the canvas, and a small tray to place these little dots in.

This is what the canvas looks like. A very small portion of it. Notice the letters, numbers, & symbols. Dots are placed in these spaces with a small stylus.

It’s not as easy as it looks. It takes a bit of a steady hand to pick up the dot and place it on the canvas like is shown. The picture of the Sailing Ship is what the one I’m doing will look like when it’s done. This is going to take a lot of time. It’s told that it is a very relaxing thing to do, but I’m not so sure about that.
Thanks for stopping by.

I love that view of the sailing ship. I will look forward to seeing your final image. I can see this skill is not my bag of tea. My hands are too shaky. 😀
